Oil and filter change:
Why is it Important to Book an Oil and Filter Change Regularly?
Engine oil lubricates the moving parts of your car’s engine, helping them work efficiently during the combustion process. It then passes through the oil filter which traps any bits of metal, dirt or dust particles floating in the oil. This keeps the oil as clean and efficient as possible.
Over time, oil becomes dirty and the oil filter becomes clogged. If you don’t change them regularly, your engine will suffer performance issues.
An oil change is a cost-effective way to keep these parts in top condition. A mechanic will fully drain and refill your engine oil and replace the dirty oil filter during the service. It’s a simple service and that’s why an oil change is much more affordable than a full service.
It's not a legal requirement, so why should I?
In the industry, it’s recommend that vehicles should have a full service performed once a year to ensure that it is vehicle is running safely and efficiently. A consistent service can help you:
-
Avoid unnecessary breakdown
-
Identify worn parts before they become an issues
-
Improve your MPG enhancing fuel efficiency
- Prolong the life of your car
- Increase the resell value of your vehicle
- Ensure your vehicle is safe and adheres to legal requirements
